Licensing questions

How does the licence work?

After checkout you get a licence key straight away (and a .lic file to download). Paste it into Help ▸ Licence in the app, or run subnetsleuth license activate. The key is checked on your computer, with no activation server, so it works offline and on isolated networks.

What happens when the year ends?

Renewal is never automatic: you renew only if you want to. If you do not, you keep the right to use every version released while your licence was active, forever. Newer versions need a current licence.

What does the trial include?

Every feature, for 14 days, with no account and no card, on one network (a subnet of up to 256 addresses, the first one you scan) and up to 25 devices in a project. A licence lifts both limits. When it ends, scanning, pulling and AI questions stop until you add a licence, but you can always open, view, edit and export your projects.

Can I use it on my clients' networks?

Yes. Consultants and managed service providers can use SubnetSleuth on any network they are authorised to inventory. The licence is per user, not per network or per client.

How many computers can I install it on?

A licensed user can install SubnetSleuth on up to three computers they use, for example a desktop, a laptop and a jump box.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes: if SubnetSleuth is not right for you, ask within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. See the terms of sale.
